Sustainable trays for pharmaceutical devices
Pharmaceutical companies face growing pressure to reduce environmental impact without compromising packaging performance. Traditional plastic trays offer functionality but contribute to high GHG emissions, while standard pulp trays often lack the durability and precision required for pharmaceutical applications.
We developed preliminary pulp-based trays that combine sustainability with advanced functionality. Unlike conventional pulp trays, our design includes:
- Lightweight structure for material efficiency
- Stackable design for optimized logistics
- Stabilization ribs to protect sensitive devices
- Embossing/debossing for branding and usability
- Full compatibility with existing plastic tray packaging lines
By replacing plastic with preliminary pulp, these trays significantly reduce GHG emissions while maintaining operational efficiency. This innovation delivers the perfect balance between sustainability and functionality,

1001 Gewürze GmbH
Our manufactory, founded in 2003, stands for premium organic quality: we create and produce our blends based on the best single spices with no sugar or salt added. With small quantities, produced in complex manual work, we are able to catch the moment of the most intensive aromas and bring them to our customers. In our team of six strong women, we are proud to be known as the "German spicegirls"!
To package our organic, premium-quality spices and blends, we needed containers that offered innovative design, exceptional sustainability, and the perfect seal for our ingredients. The Sulapac® 150 ml jar was the ideal match for our product requirements.

Eco-Friendly Packaging for a serum bottle
Our sustainable pulp-based tray offers an eco-friendly alternative to plastic packaging for cosmetic bottles, combining functionality with a refined appearance. Designed with a precise friction-fit structure, it securely holds each bottle in place, providing excellent protection against external impact without the need for additional materials.
The tray can be custom-colored to reflect each brand’s unique image, ensuring sustainability doesn’t compromise style or presentation.
Locally produced in Europe, this solution reduces carbon emissions related to transportation and supports a more sustainable supply chain. By uniting protection, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility, our innovative pulp-based packaging helps cosmetic brands transition smoothly toward a circular, low-impact future.
