We were looking for a material that could replace conventional plastic compact cases while offering a more natural and premium appearance.
In cosmetic applications, packaging must also support direct contact with formulations such as powders and balms.
Sulapac® enables both functional performance and design differentiation through its range of material grades.
In particular, we value the grade that incorporates wood chips from Nordic side streams, as it aligns well with our brand identity.

Compact cases are widely used in cosmetics packaging, where both appearance and functionality are critical. Traditional plastic materials offer flexibility in design and compatibility with various formulations, but they rely on fossil-based resources. The challenge in this project was to develop a compact case that maintains functionality—such as direct product contact and formulation compatibility—while offering a more sustainable material alternative.
